PMG Group collaborated with Pax8 to design a cutting-edge Australian head office, blending global brand standards with local influences to create a future-proof workspace integrating tech-forward solutions and diverse functional areas.
PMG partnered with Pax8, a dynamic international leader in IT and technology, to design their Australian head office. With aspirations of eventually occupying the entire building, Pax8 sought a future-proof workspace that would reflect their global brand identity and provide an inspiring environment for their growing team.
PMG created a holistic design addressing immediate needs while planning for future growth and integrating Pax8’s global brand standards with local Australian influences.
The first space included the Pax8 Entertainment and Social Hub—a multifunctional space for client engagement, staff connection, and events.
Highlights included:
– Reception and Event Spaces: A flexible event area for small-to-medium gatherings and a welcoming reception featuring bespoke joinery inspired by the Pax8 logo.– Collaborative Zones: Informal, adaptable areas to encourage socialising and spontaneous meetings.
– Work and Quiet Spaces: Plug-and-play work zones, quiet nooks, and fully equipped meeting and training rooms.
– Specialised Areas: A purpose-built content creation studio, a comms room, and ample storage tailored to tech-driven operations.
– Amenities: Unisex restrooms designed to cater to all staff and visitors.
Aesthetic and Materiality
The design balanced global consistency with local character. Guided by Pax8’s international fit-out standards, the team infused the space with Australian-made furniture and materials, reinforcing a sense of place while meeting global expectations.Special Design Features
Tech-Forward Integration: Advanced technology solutions, including automated lighting and adaptable audiovisual systems, ensured seamless functionality.Fun and Relaxation Spaces: A gaming lounge, ping pong table, and dedicated relaxation zones supported work-life balance.
Acoustic Solutions: High ceilings posed acoustic challenges, addressed through suspended ceiling rafts, acoustic tiles, custom wall panels, and 3D panelling that maintained the open, spacious feel.
Flexible Furniture: Customised for collaboration and events, blending comfort, versatility, and style.
The result is a workspace that embodies Pax8’s innovative spirit while setting the foundation for future growth. Level 3 serves as a vibrant hub for connection and productivity, aligning perfectly with Pax8’s brand and long-term vision. PMG’s tailored approach and emphasis on quality have created an environment that supports both current and future needs, showcasing their expertise in design and construction.
