Arkema Offices – Radnor
Stantec partnered with Arkema to design their 120,000 square-foot North American Headquarters in Radnor, highlighting innovation and collaboration through custom molecular-inspired architecture and sustainable design choices.
Arkema, a global leader in specialty materials, partnered with Stantec for workplace strategy and design services to develop their new North American Headquarters in suburban Philadelphia. At 120,000 square feet, the new space consolidated and relocated their existing multi-building campus into a single, cohesive space. With a strong focus on innovation and collaboration, Arkema envisioned a custom-designed environment that would not only highlight their specialty materials and refreshed brand identity but also embody their transformation in the marketplace and forward-thinking approach to teamwork and creativity.
Drawing inspiration from the molecular structure of Arkema’s specialty products, the design team infused the space with soft curves, angles, and layers of texture. These elements shaped the floorplan, architecture, and material choices—creating a clean, timeless environment that emphasizes Arkema’s dedication to sustainability. The neutral architectural palette serves as a canvas for branded graphics and collaborative furniture, ensuring the space remains timeless and adaptable. Arkema’s own products are prominently featured, including an art installation around the communicating stair.
The workplace strategy embraced an activity-based planning approach, organizing flexible departmental neighborhoods that cater to various work settings for both individual and team tasks. Infused with natural light and equipped with modern technology, Arkema North American Headquarters is an inspiring destination that celebrates the company’s innovative spirit and dedication to shaping a brighter future.
