R+R Architects created a visually captivating office design with a strong geometric influence for Suvidha, combining wabi-sabi and neoclassical styles through rounded forms and clean lines.
The office design draws inspiration from its parametric envelope, resulting in a visually captivating space with a strong geometric influence. The aesthetic combines elements of wabi-sabi and neoclassical styles, blending rounded forms with clean lines for a gentle yet striking look. Unique features such as a helical copper-textured staircase, obround tables, and disc-shaped pendants add interest to the space, while fluted expanses and abstract art create cohesive compositions. A neutral color palette and minimally applied materials contribute to the overall balance and impact of the design.
The design of this office space was intentionally influenced by the unique parametric envelope that already existed within the building. This decision allowed for a visual vocabulary that is both striking and balanced, with a clear geometric flair that catches the eye without overwhelming the senses. The overall aesthetic chosen for the office can be described as wabi-sabi with a hint of neoclassical elements, as evidenced by the carefully crafted cornices throughout the space.
The use of rounded forms throughout the office creates a sense of gentleness and fluidity, steering clear of a rigid and strictly regimented feel. The standout feature of the office is the helical copper-textured staircase, which serves as a focal point and sets the tone for the rest of the space. Other design elements, such as obround tables, disc-shaped pendants, round-edged wall-panels, and abstract art pieces, work together harmoniously to create dynamic and engaging compositions.
Additionally, the designers opted for a neutral color palette to maintain a sense of calm and cohesion within the space. The use of minimal materials, applied strategically for maximum impact, adds a touch of sophistication and understated elegance to the overall design.
