  • Avizva a Product Engineering Group, on a mission to build healthcare products that empower healthcare enterprises to achieve more. Their incredible journey began in 2011 with a vision to build purpose-driven products and bring transformative impact with technology.

Avizva desired to create a space that speaks of their culture and core values while resonating with and making a statement in the new growing tech hub in the heart of India – Indore. The spatial brief was to create an office to seat about 150 people, that is highly functional, flexible and encourages collaboration.

Designforth imagined what Avizva’s ambitions were for a creative workspace and delivered the company’s subtle cultural and ethical messages through a unique environmental experience.

Spatially you are greeted by the two breakout areas on either side of the lift lobby – that also serve as arrival spaces, linking the two wings of the building together to create a seamless floor space and natural circulation. The design prioritizes space optimization and flexibility to present unique spatial solutions. The resultant space is a function of the companies values that defy hierarchy and focuses on fluidity and productive interactions – The only closed rooms being meeting and conference rooms and all other areas common to all.

The workstations are kept deliberately lower in numbers and take the center stage on the floor plan and are sprinkled with communal spaces and breakout areas created to cater to wide working styles.

Main color that dominates the space is neutral and earthy contrasted by accented surfaces in terracotta tones borrowed from Avizva’s brand identity, for a bold yet balanced aesthetic. The color blocked ceiling in the dusty red is a visually stunning feature in the workstation area.

Materials used are visually rich such as- teak wood fluted panels, concrete floors, carpets and terrazzo which add depth, layers and drama to an otherwise minimal look. The feature handmade tile in the breakout area is another home-grown product that adds a remarkable character to the area, mimicking a carpet pattern and speaks of timelessness and solidity. The main office flooring is a seamless micro-concrete surface tying the entire floor plate together, complemented by carpet tiles in the workstation area.

The art in the space though subtle lends a strong aesthetic to the space and celebrates the Indian art forms while also speaking of the company’s ethos and values that are directly and indirectly included in the themes of the art work.

A strong emphasis has been on the collaboration with native and regional artists and techniques to pay our homage to the local crafts such as Lippan, Warli, Gond, that are sprinkled all across the office creating both a juxtaposition of the art and the technology – which is the core of Avizva’s business and bringing a sense of belonging to the geographical location of the office.

One of the major features is the “Mural” in the passages which is implemented using Lippan technique- the traditional artwork of the desert region of Rajasthan and Gujarat. ‘Lippan’ means to apply. Beautiful designs using animals, birds, trees, flowers, and other nature inspired motifs are created on the walls using mud, thread and mirrors, However we collaborated with the artists and replaced the traditional motifs with the graphic icons from the Avizva’s brand book creating an unusual brand recall – art that communicates.
