IPG Mediabrands, the media holding company within Interpublic Group, has significantly expanded their presence in India by opening a new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune. Located in International Tech Park in Kharadi, this state-of-the-art facility spans 62,000 square feet and currently houses about 1,000 employees.

The design for IPG Mediabrands, Kinesso embraces the creative spirit of the company where the word “Kinesso” signifies movement and change reflecting the agency’s ever dynamic nature of growth towards their clients. The company strives to create lived experiences for their employees and their clients – valuing who they are, the contributions they make and the distinct perspectives they bring to the table.

With boundless inspiration as the guide and unwavering imagination, Oculus Design Studio, as storytellers and curators weave narratives that transcend boundaries, creating magic in every corner of the space. The space has been designed not just in a functional aspect but to ignite emotions, spark curiosity and to create a platform to encourage self-expression. The essence of the brand became more than just information – it became a portal for discovery and a canvas for creativity. The mission was clear: to inspire people to be unapologetically be themselves while embarking on a journey of endless exploration and personal growth.

The journey of unapologetic self-expression and living in the moment thrives on boldness, hyper-realism, and vibrant colors. It’s about embracing the fast lane while savoring moments of deep reflection. These intense hues define an accent theme at the spectrum’s extreme, balanced by color pops that evoke a night sky illuminated by the Northern Lights.

The Arrival space is thoughtfully designed to merge functionality with an inviting atmosphere. It combines a classic reception area with a vibrant social setting at the back, transforming the arrival zone into a multi-purpose venue suitable for events of all types. This dual-purpose approach ensures efficient use of the space while creating a memorable first impression. To enhance the candidate’s journey, the area features a variety of interview room configurations, carefully designed to provide comfort, privacy, and a seamless experience.

The workspace itself is crafted to support focused and productive work. Acoustics play a central role, minimizing distractions and enabling employees to concentrate effectively. In addition, smaller collaboration zones, strategically positioned along the glazing, act as intimate breakout areas. These spaces offer employees a chance to step away from their desks for quick moments of relaxation or informal discussions.

Recognizing the importance of brainstorming and ideation in the workflow, the design includes an array of flexible collaborative spaces. These areas are adaptable to various functions, accommodating everything from spontaneous team huddles to structured meetings. This flexibility encourages creativity, teamwork, and productivity, making the workspace an efficient and inspiring environment for all.

The large community space is designed to support extensive teams in collaborating seamlessly and delivering impactful client interactions. With an open, flexible layout and advanced technology such as multicolored lighting ambience, it facilitates brainstorming, strategic planning, and immersive presentations. This versatile environment enables teams to craft compelling narratives and create unique, memorable marketing experiences that leave a lasting impression.

The café and recreation areas are designed to create an immersive experience with a thematic mood enhanced by RGB lighting. This dynamic setup allows the ambiance to adapt to various themes, events, or moods, offering versatility and vibrancy. The lighting transitions between colors and intensities, transforming the space for social gatherings, relaxed breaks, or themed occasions. Complemented by modern décor and comfortable seating, the areas provide more than functionality—they deliver a multi sensory experience. These spaces foster relaxation, socialization, and creativity, making them integral to the workplace’s community-driven atmosphere.

The meeting and training spaces bring the Northern Lights’ gradient to life, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere. This design seamlessly integrates essential functionalities, such as superior acoustics for focus and flexibility for diverse setups. The result is a space that balances aesthetics with practicality. It fosters creativity while meeting the functional needs of collaboration and learning.

The office design emphasizes inclusivity and sustainability, seamlessly integrating these principles with the overarching theme and aesthetics. Inclusivity is achieved through thoughtful layouts that cater to diverse needs, such as accessible pathways, ergonomic furniture, and spaces designed to support collaboration and individual focus. Thematic elements like the Northern Lights’ gradient and adaptable lighting are leveraged to create environments that are welcoming and universally appealing.

Achieving a LEED Platinum rating, sustainability is embedded in the material choices and energy-efficient systems. Locally sourced, eco-friendly materials are used throughout, while energy-saving lighting and HVAC systems reduce the environmental footprint. Flexible furniture and multifunctional spaces ensure longevity and adaptability, minimizing waste over time. By blending inclusivity and sustainability into its design, the office not only fosters a positive and inspiring workplace but also reflects a commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
