  • Container Exchange (COEX) engaged PMG to create a new 1232 sqm full-floor office that united their team. This project stands as a prime example of sustainable office design, conceived with an emphasis on flexibility, accessibility, and environmental responsibility.

From the outset, the brief was clear. The space needed to promote accessibility, wellbeing and family-friendly interactions while remaining practical and future-proof. In response, a continuous, circular circulation path was established to seamlessly connect the entire floor, ensuring equal access to all amenities and expansive views. A warm, playful palette combining neutral tones with vibrant accents infuses the space with a welcoming quality that reflects the organisation’s inclusive culture. Throughout the design, recycled materials and eco-friendly graphics underscore our commitment to sustainable office design.

Family considerations are integrated with subtle precision. A dedicated area adorned with marine-themed wallpaper, a television and beanbags offers a comfortable retreat for children visiting the office. Complementary facilities, including a parent’s room equipped with a microwave and fridge and a quiet wellbeing room for reflection, further demonstrate a thoughtful approach to the modern workplace.

Custom design features enhance both form and function. In the arrivals and breakout area, a custom ceiling crafted from 100 percent recycled HDPE panels commands attention. Upcycled joinery panels and feature elements—including indigenous design details in the front-of-house meeting rooms and the CEO office celebrate local heritage while reinforcing sustainable practices. Locally designed and manufactured furniture, along with comprehensive acoustic treatments using recyclable wood wool panels, contributes to an environment that is as practical as it is refined.

The COEX project is a testament to PMG’s dedication to creating adaptable, environmentally responsible workspaces aligning with the organisation’s mission for sustainability, inclusivity, innovation, and social connection.
