Chubb Life Taiwan Offices – Taipei
Steven Leach Group transformed Chubb Life Taiwan’s office into a vibrant urban cityscape by integrating Taipei’s textures and landmarks, fostering collaboration, innovation, and community through thoughtful design elements.
Steven Leach Group recently completed an innovative office for Chubb Life Taiwan, a global leader in Insurance. Drawing inspiration from Henri Lefebvre’s philosophy, “space is a social product,” their office design reimagines the workplace as one lively, connected city.
The reception area, designed as the “Town Entrance,” features Chubb Life Taiwan’s brand colors and special glass materials, symbolizing modernity and the company’s forward-looking vision. We designed a green wall to bring natural elements and sustainability into the office. The floor pattern continues the landscape from the urban outside interiorly, while extensive windows frame a breathtaking view of Taipei 101. Above, linear lighting reflects the rhythm of city lights, creating an energetic and inviting atmosphere.
Further inside the office, the “Town Hall” is the general meeting space. The flexible design can be configured for various needs and reflects the diversity and adaptability of a city center. The urban textures of Taipei inspired the design and subtly incorporated iconic landmarks such as Taipei 101, Taipei Dome, and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall into glass panels and acoustic features, reinforcing the connection between space and local culture.
The snack bar or what we call, “Chubb Store” serves as a casual snacking bar and a social gathering place. This space encourages interaction and relaxation. Open areas designed like porches and parks enable collaboration to flow effortlessly between those working onsite and working remotely. Smaller meeting rooms are designed to reflect green parks for quiet creativity and concentration spaces.
Rooted in urban planning principles, we designed Chubb Life Taiwan’s office to function as a vibrant “Centralized City,” where shared “In-Between Spaces” are thoughtfully crafted to foster interaction and boost productivity. By seamlessly integrating Taipei’s urban textures into the workplace, we created a dynamic environment that serves as a hub for collaboration, innovation, and a thriving sense of community.
