Camperdown Way in Greenville, South Carolina, has been awarded WELL Certification by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). It’s the first project in South Carolina to receive this certification, which is the premier building standard focused on enhancing health and wellness through the buildings where individuals live, work, and play.

The design team was led by MPS Principal K.J. Jacobs, who prioritized meeting the International WELL Building Institute’s WELL Building Standard™, a certification system that assesses how buildings impact human health and well-being. Located near the picturesque Reedy River and Falls Park, its glass façade offers occupants jaw-dropping views of a 150-foot waterfall and iconic cantilever, cable-stayed Liberty Bridge from each of its seven floors.

On the inside, the office building’s advanced filtration systems improve air quality, energy-efficient materials optimize thermal comfort, healthy snacks are easily accessible, and mothers’ rooms and quiet zones are strategically distributed throughout to offer workers places of respite. Employees even have access to a coffee break room on each floor to refuel. Meanwhile, locally curated art is displayed throughout the building for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, it has direct access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail and has two terraces, allowing employees to easily get fresh air throughout the day.

The 118,000-square-foot building contains three principal components: a grounded base constructed with terracotta rainscreen panels, a three-story parking deck, and a four-story glass-clad tower.
