LABO by L’UNI Coworking Offices – Poland
CUDO Studio’s LABO by L’UNI in Wrocław artfully merges history and innovation, featuring bespoke glass installations and elegant spaces that harmonize functionality with the artistic essence of its pharmaceutical heritage.
The main objective of the project was to create the first high-end co-working space in Wrocław, combining functionality, elegance, and an artistic atmosphere. The design was inspired by the building itself—formerly home to the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University—where the office is now located. We drew inspiration from pharmaceutical glass, a material that reflects the history of the place, as well as from the wavy forms of the nearby Odra River.
One of the challenges was designing unique glass installations made from fused pharmaceutical glass, as well as seamlessly integrating social and technical functions within the overall concept. The project involved the use of glass bending technology and a custom-developed technique for joining glass elements. Each of the circular glass features measures over 3 meters in diameter and consists of more than 50 individual glass pieces.
We also used sand-colored steel for the shelving and acoustic panels, referencing the building’s neoclassical architecture. At the heart of the space is an open co-working zone, dominated by artistic glass installations. Tall glass partitions define the office areas while allowing plenty of natural light to flow through. The kitchen and cloakroom have been discreetly concealed to maintain a clean and organized appearance in the main area.
All of this was made possible through attention to detail, the use of high-quality materials, designer furniture, and ergonomic solutions.
