Confidential Client Offices – Istanbul
Park Studio’s confidential client offices in Istanbul harmoniously blend functionality and corporate identity, centered around an inviting open-air courtyard that fosters collaboration and well-being for a team of 40.
A new workplace in Istanbul, crafted for a global insurance leader listed on the S&P 500. The project centers around two primary office zones linked by an open-air courtyard, forming the spatial and conceptual heart of the layout. The design reflects the client’s corporate identity through a quiet confidence—balancing functionality, clarity, and thoughtful material contrasts across each space.
The workplace layout includes a main open office, several meeting rooms of different sizes, semi-open collaborative zones, alternative working areas, and dedicated support functions such as kitchenettes, phone booths, and storage. The spaces were planned to accommodate a team of 40 while ensuring flexibility for different workstyles and modes of use throughout the day.
A defining element of the design is the internal courtyard—a landscaped, open-air space that brings daylight and calm into the heart of the plan. Drawing inspiration from the “edge effect” in nature—where life thrives at the intersection of different ecosystems—the courtyard connects the two wings while encouraging informal encounters and visual relief. This connection point is not only spatial but conceptual, embodying balance, rhythm, and openness.
Material selection and color strategy reinforce this approach. The palette consists of warm neutrals, natural textures, and tactile surfaces that support acoustic comfort and visual softness. In contrast, some areas—including meeting rooms—feature deeper tones and deliberate material choices, offering moments of emphasis and a distinctive character. Dark ceilings and richly textured flooring create enclosed, focused atmospheres, without disrupting the overall harmony of the office.
Rather than pushing for trends or over-designed gestures, the project embraces a sense of considered restraint. Every element is placed with intention, reflecting a grounded design sensibility that aligns with the client’s long-standing presence in the financial sector. Spaces are calm, well-proportioned, and composed with a clear focus on usability.
Ultimately, the new workplace offers an understated yet confident environment—one that allows people to move, focus, and collaborate freely, supported by a spatial framework that reflects both function and identity.
