STL Offices – Seoul
SBE_SPACEBASE’s STL Offices in Seoul seamlessly integrates innovative design with brand identity, creating a flexible, tech-forward workspace that embodies trust and speed for the future of digital commerce.
Global e-commerce company STL has relocated its headquarters to Magok, one of the most prominent business districts in western Seoul, with the aim of embodying its vision for a new era through spatial design. More than a simple physical move, this transition was planned and executed to establish a future-ready work environment aligned with the evolution of AI-powered smart logistics and the digital commerce industry.
The new office places a strong emphasis on spatially expressing STL’s core strengths: trust and speed. To visually convey the weight and stability inherent in smart logistics, the central areas of the office—such as the town hall and large meeting rooms—feature rich wood tones paired with two shades of navy. These design choices highlight STL’s bold, youthful identity as a smart logistics innovator while also incorporating the company’s brand colors into the spatial narrative. Accents of metal materials are strategically placed throughout the office to underscore both technological advancement and a sense of forward momentum.
The office layout prioritizes scalability and efficiency. To enhance the sense of openness and spatial continuity, glass partitions are actively used along key circulation zones, such as walls adjacent to the elevator hall and intersections of corridors. This approach gives the impression of a broader, more expansive space. Taking into account the frequent meetings of executives, each executive office includes a private meeting table and a comfortable lounge area, supporting both formal and informal discussions within a flexible work environment.
To balance autonomy among teams with organic connectivity, the layout reflects the working styles of each department, creating two clearly separated work zones with dual circulation flows. By separating the entry points for team members and external visitors, the design enhances both security and operational efficiency, while also enabling each department to maintain a focused work atmosphere.
This project brings STL’s brand identity—trust, speed, and global scalability driven by technology—to life through multidimensional spatial expression. As the digital commerce landscape continues to evolve rapidly, STL’s relocation represents more than a change in address; it articulates a clear vision and direction for the future.
