The Ippolito Fleitz Group Studio in Shanghai embody a dynamic, collaborative workspace that seamlessly integrates diverse energies and materials, inviting creativity and interaction among teams and clients alike.
Each of our studios is different. What they all have in common is a strong personality, attention to detail and a concentration of different energies into an open, flowing space that constantly invites you to rediscover it and approach it in fresh ways. Our Shanghai Studio in the French Concession is a workspace, think tank and collaboration space, an event location, material lab and venue for legendary table tennis tournaments. An open invitation to discover us and the way in which we work: multidisciplinary, collaborative and strategic, with stacks of expertise, passion and creative drive. An invitation to the team and to the wider world.
The studio entrance leads straight into the heart of operations. A view of an agile work landscape, a range of meeting situations and, behind the reception desk, our Material Lab. Our studio tells the story of who we are. But not in the form of a finished story and certainly not by demonstrating a standardised style. Instead, we have created a dynamic space, characterised by very different moments of invitation to work with us: to our employees, our clients and our business partners.
The studio’s work landscape, with its workbenches, meeting boxes and green planting, is openly accessible and presents itself naturally as part of the whole. The salmon-coloured carpet and colour accents on the pillars and ceiling establish the necessary zoning and give the room a visual context. The entrance area with its terrazzo floor radiates a seriousness, collaging playfully with the zinc sheeting behind the green reception desk. Our studio is no rigid representative space, but rather a creative studio. Parsol mirrors meet stained wood, meet the white steel of our PARA VERT, meet the pipes on the ceiling. What is this? We call it: decidedly in between. A variety of people, moods and moments that come together to create a unique and memorable place.
Our Material Lab symbolises this diversity, but is also a real-life example thereof. Here you will find everything your heart desires, from fabrics and natural stone to woods, metals and glass. We integrate our clients intensively in the material selection process. This is tangible expertise and creates a trusted working relationship.
Last but not least: the salon. The beating heart of our studio. This is where we cook and eat together at a long community table, which in combination with the alcove, creates a living room atmosphere. The long table disappears when space is needed in the salon for townhall meetings, team events and lectures. Our ‘IF you talk’ event series is held here regularly. This format invites fashion designers, artists, craftspeople and designers across all industries and sectors to join us, share their knowledge and discuss. This is how we live and love work: as shared moments in which something new is created. With others – and with you, too. Because our invitation is an open one: Drop in for a visit!
