People and Places Offices – New Cairo City
Segments Architects’ People and Places offices in New Cairo City elegantly merge hospitality and real estate, featuring tactile warmth and sculptural design to foster connection and dialogue in a serene environment.
A Sales Center Where Real Estate Meets Hospitality
Segments Architects designed the People & Places office as more than just a sales center , it’s a tactile journey into the heart of a brand that blurs the line between hospitality and real estate. Bathed in natural light and layered with sculptural softness, this space offers a calm yet characterful experience that invites conversation, comfort, and connection.
A Concept Rooted in Warm Modernism
The design draws from the ethos of understated luxury, balancing Mediterranean earthiness with refined detailing. Neutral palettes meet textured surfaces , from hand-finished travertine and black marble to walnut wood and burnished bronze , creating a tactile harmony that gently guides visitors through the space.
At the heart of the office lies a central sculptural moment: a cascading dry tree installation anchored in a carved marble planter, enclosed by a curved wooden ceiling and open shelving. This living centerpiece anchors the open lounge with a sense of stillness and intentionality — a visual metaphor for rootedness in community and place.
A Boutique-Like Experience with a Residential Feel
The entrance sequence is slow and curated. As guests step inside, they’re met with warm timber, curated artwork, and plush seating arrangements that mirror the sensibilities of a boutique hotel lobby. Rounded furniture forms, textured upholstery, and subtly placed decorative objects foster an atmosphere of elegance without pretense.
Art and object curation play a vital role here. Each sculptural piece , from terracotta installations to bespoke vases , was selected to evoke narrative and craftsmanship. Layered greenery and soft partitions define zones without enclosing them, ensuring that spatial flow remains open, breathable, and intuitive.
Designed for Dialogue
Meeting rooms and collaborative zones are designed to invite conversation. A sleek black glass table anchors the main meeting room, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glass and framed by lush tropical landscaping just beyond the window. In the open work area, round shared desks grow around planted trees, creating a workspace rhythm that feels organic and humane. The strategic placement of greenery throughout the office , both inside and beyond , dissolves boundaries between nature and design, creating a dialogue between indoor serenity and outdoor vibrancy.
A Balance of Clarity and Comfort
Acoustic texture, ambient lighting, and thoughtful zoning all contribute to a space that supports both focus and flow. Transparent partitions offer privacy without opacity. Large openings frame views to lush patios, while terraces extend the office experience outdoors, creating space for casual meetings under the shade of umbrellas.
