Abel Design Group’s Daly & Black offices in Houston masterfully integrates open, collaborative spaces with modern materials, fostering a dynamic work environment that enhances culture and accommodates a hybrid workforce.
The new office for Daly and Black was designed to foster a sense of openness, personality, and collaboration, supporting a hybrid workforce while strengthening the firm’s culture. A light and dark material contrast, combined with concrete, glass, and natural finishes, creates a modern yet balanced space. A spacious breakroom, designed for both everyday use and large gatherings, connects seamlessly with surrounding areas. The layout supports flexible workstyles through a variety of meeting spaces, glass office sidelights for semi-visual transparency, and covered storage solutions. Signature touches include a built-in “dog home” for the office mascot Rufus, a custom Baux panel art wall with acoustic properties, and a fully equipped fitness room created in partnership with the client’s workout advisor.
