HvdM Offices – The Hague
AREA Occupier Solutions designed the HvdM offices in The Hague to embody growth and identity through organic forms, innovative layouts, and biophilic elements, fostering a light and collaborative workspace.
After a successful collaboration in 2018, HvdM once again partnered with AREA to create their new office in The Hague. The move was prompted by redevelopment plans at their previous location and offered the opportunity to rethink their workspace from the ground up.
The concept is built around the growth rings of a tree, a natural fingerprint symbolizing identity, continuity and development. These subtle, organic forms are expressed in custom PET-felt wall panels, natural finishes, and soft lines that shape the interior.
The office layout emphasizes clarity and connection, with sightlines that open up the space while still allowing for privacy and focus. Workstations are tucked into corners to create quiet zones, while a central meeting space with acoustic wall panels and bold red accents forms the heart of the office.
Playful elements like a bright red Lensvelt cabinet with an oversized key and a red &Tradition Flowerpot lamp add personality, while biophilic elements – from abstract leaf wallpaper to natural textures, ground the space in calmness and warmth.
The result is a light, inviting and characterful workspace that supports both concentration and collaboration and reflects the identity of a PR agency that has been creating social impact for over 70 years.
