  • Security services provider Allied Universal is a $20 billion business with a fast-paced, results-oriented culture. Before moving its headquarters, Allied asked Sym8 to prepare a test-fit program to compare several buildings based on square footage, building efficiencies, interdepartmental workflow, natural light, expandability, and construction costs. After the building was selected, Sym8 corrected inefficient departmental adjacencies, addressed pain points, such as disruptive acoustics, and replaced solid walls with glass, opening cross-departmental opportunities. The redesigned office evokes a sense of motion, motivates open idea exchange, encourages mentorship, and builds comfort and trust. With employee productivity increasing, Allied anticipates expansion will lead to an IPO in the next few years.
