Located in the heart of Mission Valley, the Hyphn San Diego Experience Center redefines what a workplace can be. Designed as both a functioning office and an immersive demonstration space, it embodies Hyphn’s mission to transform the environments where people connect, work, and learn — integrating people, place, and technology in every detail.

A Shift from Showroom to Experience
Hyphn’s previous San Diego location reflected a more traditional era of workplace design — oversized, segmented, and technologically dated. It no longer supported how the team collaborated or how clients engaged with the brand. The new Experience Center emerged from a simple but powerful goal: create a space that inspires connection, reflects culture, and demonstrates what’s possible in a modern, human-centered workplace.

    Design Approach
The design concept centers around connection and flexibility. Every element was intentionally chosen to support how people work today while showcasing the range of environments Hyphn creates for its clients.

    – Dual-purpose spaces maximize every square foot, giving each area multiple functions throughout the day.
    – Neighborhood zones organize open office areas into smaller communities, creating energy and natural interaction.
    – Integrated technology blends seamlessly into each setting, allowing for effortless hybrid collaboration and spontaneous connection.
    – Flexible meeting spaces and focus rooms provide variety and choice — from quiet concentration to team brainstorming.
    – A central bar and gathering zone replaces the traditional boardroom, functioning as a social hub, meeting area, and event space.
    – Leadership visibility at the entry reinforces approachability and transparency, key tenets of Hyphn’s culture.

Materiality plays a quiet but powerful role. Warm tones, natural textures, and lush greenery create a welcoming environment that feels authentic rather than staged. Layered lighting and artful details draw visitors in, balancing professionalism with approachability.

    Culture in Motion
The space is designed to evolve. Hyphn’s team continuously tests, measures, and adapts the environment based on real-time feedback — ensuring it remains a living example of flexible workplace design. Every adjustment, from layout tweaks to technology upgrades, feeds back into how Hyphn advises clients on creating environments that truly support people and performance.

    An Invitation to Experience
Since opening, the Experience Center has sparked stronger team engagement and a renewed sense of community. Meeting rooms are constantly active, collaboration feels natural, and clients can immediately see themselves in the space. More than a workplace, it’s a working prototype — an Experience Lab that demonstrates how thoughtful design, culture, and technology converge to create environments where people thrive.

Hyphn’s Mission Valley Experience Center stands as a reflection of the company’s belief: the best workplaces are not static showrooms, but living, breathing examples of what’s possible when people, place, and technology unite.
