  • In Denver’s River North Arts District (RiNo)—the city’s most vibrant creative hub—Steel House reimagines the workplace for a new era, blending the neighborhood’s industrial past with a deeply human, nature-forward design ethos. The project, developed by Beacon Capital Partners, Elevation Development Group, and MetLife Investment Management and designed inside and out by Morris Adjmi Architects, introduces a verdant, nature-centered approach within an evolving neighborhood long defined by its warehouses and grain silos.

At the heart of Steel House is a commitment to biophilia and creating an unparalleled connection to nature. On the sixth floor, a 13,000-square-foot communal terrace—aptly named The Park—serves as the organizing element for the building. Off the terrace, fitness and wellness amenities such as a double-height multi-use sports court, climbing wall, and open-air yoga studio allow tenants to seamlessly integrate movement and moments of calm into their daily routines. Sunlight pours through the building’s terraced massing, reinforcing a sense of openness, light, and air, while planted terraces frame views of the Rockies and vines climb interior walls.

True to MA’s approach to historic context, Steel House embraces RiNo’s industrial DNA. Its material palette and massing evoke the surrounding warehouses, while a steel-framed tower at the southwest corner references the lift towers and silos that once punctuated the district’s streetscape. The sculptural element anchors the building, establishing it as a new landmark in a district where art, culture, and innovation converge.

With Steel House, MA has created a flexible and contemporary workplace that is both rooted in RiNo’s industrial heritage yet attuned to the wellness-focused lifestyle of Denver today.
