Syscom Engineering Offices – Sofia
At the Syscom Engineering offices in Sofia, SOFT CASE STUDIO masterfully transformed a chaotic workspace into a functional, brand-aligned environment, emphasizing intuitive circulation and warm materials to foster productivity and wellbeing.
The Syscom office interior design project presented a unique challenge: transforming a chaotic open-plan workspace—originally lacking a reception, kitchen, and chill zone—into a functional, well-structured environment, while maintaining the existing number of workstations. The goal was to create a workspace that would be both efficient and welcoming, reflecting the company’s identity and supporting the daily workflow of a modern tech team.
The design approach focused on restructuring the space into clearly defined zones arranged along a logical circulation path. Each area—reception, workstations, kitchen, meeting rooms, and relaxation zones—was carefully positioned to ensure smooth movement and intuitive navigation throughout the office.
To provide privacy without obstructing natural light, partitions made of white metal frames and milky matte glass were introduced. These elements subtly define spaces while maintaining an open, airy feel, preventing the office from feeling closed off.
A standout architectural feature is the suspended ceiling element in Syscom’s signature blue. It functions both as a visual anchor and a spatial guide, connecting different zones and guiding users naturally through the office. The blue ceiling also reinforces the company’s brand identity, giving the space a unique personality.
Materiality plays a central role in shaping the office’s atmosphere. Warm wood surfaces, textile floor coverings, and touches of greenery create a comfortable, inviting environment that balances productivity with wellbeing. Natural light and a thoughtful lighting design further enhance the ambiance, contributing to a space that feels bright, open, and energizing.
The result is a cohesive, efficient, and brand-aligned workspace tailored to the needs of a modern tech company. Every design decision—from circulation paths and partitioning to color accents and material choices—reflects a commitment to both functionality and aesthetic quality, delivering an office that is as practical as it is inspiring.
