  • Project Amber, conceptualized and executed by Studio Bloom for Big Small Experiences LLP, is an office interior project located in Mumbai that redefines the modern workplace through a thoughtful balance of creativity, function, and fluidity. The client—a dynamic event management company—sought a workspace that reflected their vibrant ethos while promoting collaboration and comfort. Spread across two non-contiguous floors (1,200 sq. ft. and 1,600 sq. ft.), the project presented both a design challenge and an opportunity to explore spatial continuity and identity within a split-level setup.

Studio Bloom envisioned a workspace that was minimal yet bold—a place where openness and light take precedence over enclosure. Clean lines, raw textures, and exposed materials were paired with soft neutrals and striking amber accents. The result is an environment that feels expressive yet calm, functional yet inspiring. The two office units were designed to complement different work styles: the smaller space houses the accounts and technical teams and includes a compact amphitheater for informal meetings, while the larger level accommodates the creative teams with open workstations, collaborative zones, and flexible meeting areas.

The use of color and detailing was carefully curated to achieve a refined balance between boldness and restraint. A warm amber tone was strategically applied throughout—most notably in custom-fabricated glass partition frames, select furniture pieces, and accent details—creating pops of vibrancy against a calming palette of textured grey flooring and sand-toned lime wash walls by Flexstone. Custom-designed workstations with ceiling-hung shelving optimize openness and usability, while a graphical wall in the accounts area—illustrating cities meaningful to the company—adds a personal, narrative-driven layer to the space.

Architectural elements such as arched panels framing the glass façade and bent glass partitions bring softness and fluidity to circulation paths, enhancing spatial flow and depth. Every design decision, from furniture ergonomics to spatial planning, was made with user experience in mind. Custom details—including a spiral wooden ceiling light inspired by the company’s logo and bespoke door handles—further anchor the design in the brand’s identity.

At the heart of the office lies a social zone that fosters interaction and creativity, seamlessly connecting focused work areas with collaborative spaces. The unifying amber hue ties the entire design together, flowing subtly across materials and surfaces to create coherence and warmth.

Project Amber stands as a testament to Studio Bloom’s commitment to customization, craftsmanship, and spatial storytelling. It embodies Big Small Experiences’ spirited identity through a workspace that is open, cohesive, and human-centric—an environment that celebrates both creativity and clarity, boldness and balance.
