WITTE Automotive Bulgaria Offices – Ruse
At the WITTE Automotive Bulgaria offices in Ruse, Soft Case Studio creates an innovative workplace where vibrant colors and dynamic volumes enhance collaboration, comfort, and sustainability within an industrial setting.
Soft Case Studio designed the new office and food & rest zone for WITTE Automotive Bulgaria in Ruse — a workplace that embodies innovation, collaboration, and identity. As a German leader in automotive locking systems, WITTE sought a dynamic and efficient environment that reflects its forward-thinking culture while supporting the well-being of its employees.
The project is set within an existing six-meter-high industrial hall, offering a rare architectural opportunity to create two-story volumes within an open plan. This spatial strategy maximizes functionality while introducing hierarchy, depth, and a sense of discovery. Each volume serves a distinct purpose — from meeting and focus areas to communal spaces — forming a coherent narrative about the company’s evolution and values.
The interior concept is guided by WITTE’s three core values: blue for technology, red for people, and green for the environment. These colors act as architectural tools that define zones, articulate circulation, and infuse the workspace with a strong visual and emotional identity. Materiality and lighting play a crucial role in balancing the industrial character of the space with human comfort. The raw structure is softened through warm wood finishes, acoustic surfaces, and tactile materials, while greenery reinforces the company’s commitment to sustainability and enhances the sense of calm within the high-ceilinged environment.
For the food and rest zone, the same design principles extend into a space that goes beyond functionality to foster comfort, connection, and well-being. Defined again by its impressive six-meter height, the interior becomes a dynamic social hub, offering a variety of seating arrangements — from cozy lounge corners to communal dining tables — encouraging flexibility and interaction. The design reflects WITTE’s focus on people and innovation, combining natural light, greenery, and warm materials to create balance between energy and calm.
