  • DKV, a new beginning at Arboretum.

After 14 years in Suresnes, DKV, a major player in fuel and toll payment cards, has established its new French headquarters in Nanterre, on the Arboretum campus.

The company called on ARCH.DESIGN to assist them with this 1,200 m² project, from the technical assistance in the permises search phase to the fit out project, from design to work, furniture and move management.

    A CORPORATE PROJECT
Joining Arboretum was not a simple move. For DKV, it was a true corporate project.

While the growth in staff and the need for additional space, aligned with the end of the lease, served as the trigger, the underlying reason for the project runs deeper.

This new headquarters aims above all to provide an excellent employee experience for all DKV teams. Ensuring employee well-being is indeed a key objective of the project.

The quantity and quality of services offered on campus, its green spaces, and the opportunity to play sports there naturally contributed to the choice of Arboretum.

It was also a matter of giving new impetus and new momentum to the community. One of DKV’s expectations for workspaces was to encourage and foster collaboration.

    RESPONSIBLE WORKSPACE
DKV is a committed company that sets and maintains its carbon footprint reduction targets.
This real estate project, in line with these CSR commitments, had to be equally responsible.

A sustainable work environment with a reduced environmental footprint was designed.

In terms of architectural and design choices:
    – A selection of responsible materials such as Feltes Hamonize PET, made from 50% recycled fibers
    – The installation of over 1,000 m² of carpeting with Interface’s carbon-negative BioX Son underlays
    – Significant greening of spaces with Captain Végétal and the distribution of 119 plants throughout the site

    In terms of furniture:
    – A large selection of second-hand furniture: tables, chairs, stools, as well as acoustic booths and phone booths
    – The recovery and transformation of 54 existing workstations to adapt them to the new spaces and expressed needs

And finally, in terms of construction:
    – Responsible project management, with travel carried out in electric vehicles, 3,800 km, or 451 kg of CO² avoided

This new headquarters offers DKV employees generous and bright work, collaboration and convivial spaces, a vast terrace, within a green campus.
