Robertet Offices – Mexico City
Contract Workplaces’ Robertet offices in Mexico City masterfully integrate hybrid workplace and laboratory functions, fostering collaboration and innovation within a vibrant, nature-inspired design tailored for the fragrance industry.
Robertet Mexico’s new headquarters establishes a benchmark for hybrid workplace–laboratory environments in Latin America, seamlessly merging creative, technical, and corporate functions within a single 2,050 sqm floor in Mexico City’s Mitikah complex. Designed and delivered by Contract Workplaces, the project supports the company’s expansion in the region and its cultural transformation toward a more collaborative, innovation-driven work model.
The office unites administrative areas with highly specialized fragrance and flavor laboratories — an ambitious spatial and technical integration that demanded careful zoning, stringent environmental criteria, and an intuitive circulation strategy. The design positions reception as a civic heart, organizing two primary programmatic wings: the flavors hub, with laboratory, tasting booths, and showroom; and the aromas hub, with dedicated perfumers’ suites, specialized labs, and a sensory showroom. Collaborative lounges, meeting spaces, and informal breakout areas stitch these domains together, encouraging cross-disciplinary dialogue among perfumers, chemists, designers, and corporate teams.
A key ambition was to translate Robertet’s identity — rooted in nature, artistry, and scientific rigor — into a spatial and experiential language. A fresh, vibrant palette draws from the brand’s visual DNA, blending natural neutrals with botanical notes and energetic accents. Materials such as light woods, satin metallics, and custom-treated glass balance sophistication with performance, while curated environmental graphics and mural installations, developed in partnership with Robertet teams in France and Colombia, celebrate the plant-based origins of the company’s raw materials.
Laboratories and workspaces operate to rigorous technical standards to support product development across perfumery, cosmetics, household care, food, and beverage categories. Acoustic treatment, specialized ventilation, and controlled environments coexist with comfortable, daylight-rich work zones that prioritize wellbeing.
Located in a LEED-certified AAA tower, the project incorporates sustainable technologies and aligns with wellness-focused urban mobility and amenity access criteria. The resulting workplace is both a brand statement and a high-performance R&D ecosystem — a sensorial, collaborative, and future-ready environment designed to accelerate innovation and strengthen Robertet’s presence in the region.
