This workplace refresh revitalises Nokia’s North Sydney office, focusing on their front of house and communal areas. Building on a decade-long partnership, the project creates an environment that honours Nokia’s legacy while reflecting their continued evolution as a technology leader.

The design responds to a clear brief: deliver a space that embodies Nokia’s brand identity—forward-thinking, dynamic, and connected—while creating an elevated experience for staff and visitors within a defined budget and timeline.

    Design Response
Reception & Entry – The refreshed reception area features a floor-to-ceiling lighting wall illuminated in Nokia’s signature brand tones, creating a striking introduction that balances global presence with local identity.

Workplace Interiors – Full-height wall graphics across office floors showcase curated imagery celebrating Nokia’s innovation heritage and commitment to human connection, bringing visual energy to corridors and breakout zones.

Boardroom & Breakout Spaces – An operable wall system transforms the boardroom from an intimate meeting setting into a large-scale town hall venue. High-performance acoustic treatments maintain privacy and focus when needed, while the adjacent breakout area encourages openness and collaboration.

Sustainability Strategy – An extensive reuse approach guided material selections, including re-upholstery of existing furniture and specification of green-rated finishes, reducing waste while meeting budget parameters and aligning with Nokia’s environmental commitments.

Cultural Engagement – A collaboration with First Nations artist Dennis Golding brings cultural depth and sense of place to the breakout space, creating a workplace that reflects Nokia’s identity today while supporting their vision for tomorrow.

    Outcome
The completed workspace merges Nokia’s heritage with their forward vision through thoughtful material selections, brand-integrated lighting, and flexible spatial configurations. The design supports multiple modes of work and gathering while demonstrating environmental responsibility through sustainable material reuse.
