Vitlaima Offices – Tauragė
LAVA studio transformed the unused attic of a Tauragė building into the Vitlaima offices, featuring a harmonious blend of private workspaces, leisure zones, and flexible areas for training and conferences.
This office is located in the attic of the company’s existing building. The premises were previously abandoned and unused and the space presented several challenges: low sloped ceilings, very limited natural daylight and numerous columns throughout the interior.
The task was to create a solid interior with muted tones and to arrange several comfortable private offices along with a couple temporary workstations for employees arriving from other cities. The main challenge, however, was to design a large area for training sessions and conferences that could be connected to a leisure zone. As a result, the attic was divided into three main zones: private offices as well as leisure and training/conference spaces that can be combined when needed.
Enclosed private offices with natural light from skylights were arranged along both sides of the attic at its lowest points, while the central area was left open plan, featuring a generous island next to the kitchen and a spacious lounge. On regular working days, this leisure and relaxation zone is used by employees from the surrounding private offices, but during training sessions or conferences, the areas can be united into a single multifunctional space through large double pivot doors.
