Levi’s Offices – Brussels
NCBHAM redefined Levi’s offices in Brussels, blending natural light and timeless materials to create a flexible, welcoming workspace that embodies the brand’s essence while enhancing comfort and collaboration across five floors.
Winning the competition in October 2024, we were entrusted with the full redesign of Levi’s new Brussels headquarters, located in the iconic Elite House at Porte de Namur. The relocation marked a strategic shift toward a more central address and a reduced footprint, prompting a comprehensive redefinition of the workspace program across five floors and approximately 3,150 m².
Bathed in natural light and offering expansive city views, the building’s qualities became central to the design strategy. Developed from guidelines established during the competition phase, the project evolved organically, prioritizing comfort, flexibility, and a diversity of work typologies. Simple yet character-defining elements, derived from the building’s existing structural rhythm, act as spatial organizers throughout all floors and are adapted to different functions.
The lounge area became the project’s anchor, setting the tone for arrival and circulation. Softly curved partitions create a welcoming gesture, while a sequence of meeting rooms and focus booths forms a transition between social and work zones. Strategically placed booths ensure acoustic comfort across the workspace, and a glazed meeting room framed in bold blue metal stands as a visual signature of the project.
MATERIALITY AND AMBIENCE
Working with an iconic brand such as Levi’s®, the design subtly channels its identity through craftsmanship, honesty, and timelessness, without resorting to literal references. Raw and exposed materials, visible construction details, and carefully balanced textures express transparency and durability. Curves, stitching-inspired lines, and tactile contrasts echo the brand’s heritage, while the overall atmosphere is designed to age gracefully and support evolving ways of working.
THE LOBBY
The compact entrance lobby was reimagined using the same material language as the offices, creating continuity throughout the building. A bespoke, hand-applied wall plaster subtly reveals the Levi’s® logo, while exposed concrete, plywood accents, and integrated lighting enhance warmth and clarity. The ceiling, left visible and finished in indigo, offers a final nod to denim, quietly reinforcing the brand’s presence through material and light.
The result is a refined, purposeful workplace where identity is felt rather than stated, and where spatial quality supports both individual focus and collective exchange.
