Medtronic Offices – Tel Aviv
Setter Architects’ Medtronic offices in Tel Aviv blend nature-inspired forms with advanced functionality, creating a light-filled workspace that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a strong connection to the company’s core values in medical technology.
The new offices of Medtronic, one of the world’s leading companies in the research, development, and manufacturing of medical devices, span approximately 2,600 square meters across the upper floors of the Allied Tower at BIG Glilot. The elevated location offers expansive, unobstructed views of the sea, transforming the workplace into a daily experience of light, openness, and inspiration.
The architectural concept is rooted in the worlds of nature and biology—fields that lie at the core of the company’s activity. Inspiration ranges from cellular structures and organic connection systems to the structure of DNA, expressed through a soft, fluid architectural language. The combination of precise, linear elements with gentle, curved forms creates a harmonious tension between technology and humanity.
Material and color selections further reinforce the concept: natural materials, a calm and neutral color palette, and carefully balanced color accents. Together, they create a serene, elegant, and inviting work environment that encourages focus, creativity, and open communication.
The functional program is broad and diverse, including a central entrance lobby, a large cafeteria, offices, meeting rooms, open-space areas, informal work zones, coffee points, a spacious training area, and laboratories. The various spaces are organized around a central spine that serves as both a circulation axis and a meeting hub, encouraging daily interactions—both planned and spontaneous.
The entrance area and cafeteria were designed as experiential spaces that combine high functionality with a clean aesthetic and architectural clarity. Special attention was given to the finer details: meticulous acoustic treatment, discreet integration of building systems, and soft, balanced lighting design—all contributing to a pleasant, harmonious atmosphere.
Throughout the project, distinctive elements stand out and strengthen the design language—from generous coffee areas to a suspended acoustic element that unfolds as a “free line” across the ceilings of the activity zones, and gentle, curved lighting that adds a sense of flow and softness to the space.
The result is a contemporary, precise, and inspiring work environment that reflects Medtronic’s core values and bridges technological innovation with human-centered architecture. It is an office that succeeds in being advanced and highly functional, while remaining warm, welcoming, and full of life.
