Vistra Offices – Hong Kong
The Steven Leach Group’s Vistra offices in Hong Kong reimagines workspace design, harmonizing water-inspired elements with innovative features to foster collaboration, vitality, and a sense of connection among its users.
The Steven Leach Group was founded on our desire to explore new ways to design spaces to inspire and the SL+A Hong Kong team worked closely with Vistra to create a space where people genuinely want to be. Our design philosophy seamlessly integrated the company identity into the work environment, with the unifying theme of water serving as our central element, supercharged with Vistra’s core values.
Vistra is the go-to operational partner for integrating businesses, helping companies find their flow anywhere in the world. Our award-winning design concept is rooted in Vistra’s core value—“Us, not Me.” Inspired by water as a symbol of connection and unity, the collaborative workspace reflects how people, ideas, and businesses move together seamlessly. The embodiment of vitality and renewal, water evokes feelings of depth and calmness and aligns perfectly with the vision of a reimagined workspace. As a 2025 winner of the MUSE Design Award for Interior Excellence, we are proud to share in the excitement of implementing unique features that make this office stand out from the rest. Defying conventional modern design, our approach utilizes circular forms and organic, flowing motifs that provides spectacular visual impact. The perforated ceiling is a subtle yet delightful design gesture, creating the illusion of shimmering water flowing overhead. This visual movement enhances the space’s aesthetic appeal while promoting a sense of tranquility and inspiration throughout a busy workday.
Beneath the staircase, plants were added to create an artistic moment to encourage engagement and interaction, while unique facades with glass partitions give the feeling of light shimmering off the surface ripples of flowing water.
At the work café, a cozy seating area features a circular bar, with bespoke lighting and an abundance of greenery fills the space, in contrast to the metropolitan views of the city skyline. Reflective materials mimic the surface of a lake, adding visual interest and inviting relaxation. The ceiling utilizes a ripple-like material that replicates the visual effect of a flowing river, creating additional movement and fluidity throughout the environment.
Anchored by Vistra’s core value, “Push for Better,” the design concept is inspired by the perpetual motion of water expressing Vistra’s commitment to progress and its evolution over nearly forty years in the global business landscape. We are proud to partner with a company that consistently grows beyond barriers and borders to provide solutions with fewer frustrations.
Together, we created an engaging and dynamic workspace that embodies Vistra’s identity while fostering collaboration and innovation. By utilizing water as a central theme, we did not just design a workspace; we actively encourage a work-culture that values unity, vitality, and continuous improvement, ensuring that every team member feels connected to their purpose and inspired to seek creative outcomes.
