In the heart of Ruzafa, a new workspace challenges the traditional aesthetic of the real estate sector to propose a different way of inhabiting the office. The project transforms a conventional premises into a warm, flexible environment with a strong identity, aligned with contemporary working dynamics.

The brief was clear from the outset: to move away entirely from the conventional image of real estate offices. The aim was to design a contemporary, functional space with its own identity, capable of accommodating a high density of workers on the ground floor while resolving meeting rooms and internal gathering areas on the upper level.

A space designed for a non-conventional way of working
The dynamic nature of real estate work — with agents spending much of their time outside the office visiting properties — allowed the studio to rethink the traditional fixed workstation concept.

Destudio designed custom-made worktables that adapt to the morphology of the premises and maximize operational capacity. With sharp angles and irregular legs, these pieces not only solve functional requirements but also become distinctive design elements, adding character and uniqueness to the project.

The upper floor: functionality and architectural value
On the upper level, the intervention embraces the existing architecture: high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and ceramic vaults that provide texture and spatial richness. Here, the design focuses on efficiently resolving the meeting rooms — with cross views between them — while avoiding visual overload in relatively compact spaces.

This floor also includes a relaxation area conceived as a flexible space for internal meetings, a café corner, or a small dining area, reinforcing the human dimension of the workplace.

“Domesticating the office”: well-being and productivity
Person Ruzafa is part of Destudio’s strategic vision of “domesticating the office”: transferring qualities traditionally associated with the home into the workplace to create relaxed, warm, and calm environments.

The project features continuous mortar finishes, a palette of warm tones, and the use of fine woods, avoiding strident elements that could disrupt the overall harmony. The result is a coherent space that prioritizes employee well-being throughout the working day, understanding it as a key factor in enhancing productivity and overall work experience.

With Person Ruzafa, Destudio strengthens its positioning in the design of corporate spaces that combine strategy, brand identity, and emotional architecture.
