  • Set amidst the quiet agrarian outskirts of Kadi in Gujarat, the headquarters for Nuramed Pharmaceutical redefines the identity of a pharmaceutical office through a design approach that is both contextual and globally resonant. Located in the heart of farmland and away from the conventional urban corporate environment, the project emerged from a central question: how can a workplace dedicated to science, precision, and healthcare also feel warm, rooted, and human?

From the outset, the vision extended beyond creating a functional office. The client sought an environment that reflected their commitment to healing, encouraged a sense of joy among employees, and offered a composed and welcoming setting for national and international visitors. The headquarters was also to be directly connected to the company’s manufacturing unit, where the medicines that define Nuramed’s identity are produced and exported across the world. The challenge therefore was not only to design an efficient workplace, but also to establish an architectural identity that felt distinctive, aspirational, and deeply connected to its setting.

The architecture adopts a calm and confident expression defined by crisp white surfaces, subtle geometric offsets, and a deliberate absence of ornamentation. Set against the vast green agricultural landscape, the building reads as a sculpted volume within its rural context. The white façade was chosen intentionally to evoke purity, clarity, and modernity, values closely associated with the pharmaceutical field. The clean lines and balanced proportions create a contemporary rhythm, while the foreground garden gently anchors the building within the landscape. This outdoor space has been planned with future expansion in mind, ensuring that the overall visual framework of the campus remains cohesive even as the facility grows.

Inside, the spatial experience shifts toward lightness and warmth. The building is oriented toward the east, allowing soft morning sunlight to filter naturally into the interiors. Visitors arrive through a double height foyer that establishes the tone of the workspace. The volume feels open and airy, with glass walls framing views of the surrounding fields and visually extending the interior toward the landscape. Gentle curves, natural wood accents, and textured materials soften the environment and move away from the typically sterile perception of pharmaceutical workplaces.

Within this foyer, a carefully designed brand wall introduces visitors to the identity of Nuramed. A world map installation highlights the company’s international presence, while a curated display of their medicines offers a subtle narrative about the products that define the organization. Together these elements transform the arrival sequence into a meaningful introduction to the company’s philosophy.

The reception area continues this sense of quiet storytelling. Set within a recessed niche finished in a soft sage green tone, the reception desk is paired with a curved lounge sofa and suspended sculptural lighting that functions as both illumination and art. The material palette is tactile and composed. Green painted surfaces, oakwood paneling, and textured wall finishes create an environment that feels relaxed yet dignified. The signage system, developed using wood and acrylic elements, integrates seamlessly with the architecture and becomes a natural extension of the spatial language.

Moving to the first floor, the character of the space transitions from welcoming to working. A central corridor runs through the plan with glass enclosed cabins placed along both sides. This strategy allows daylight to travel through the entire floor plate, ensuring that even the innermost workspaces remain bright and visually connected. The interior palette remains consistent with muted greens, warm wood tones, and minimal furniture forms that support clarity and focus without visual distraction. Each workspace balances openness with privacy while carefully addressing acoustics, lighting quality, and outward views.

At the center of the first floor lies the central lounge, a key spatial anchor and one of the most expressive moments within the office. Located between the executive cabins, the lounge acts as an informal meeting hub and a calm gallery like environment where discussions take place and international guests are welcomed. The space also serves as a platform to present Nuramed’s flagship products, which are displayed on green cylindrical pedestals that subtly celebrate the brand.

The design of this lounge is intentionally restrained yet thoughtful. Integrated seating, curated artworks, layered lighting, and gallery style niches create an atmosphere that feels composed and welcoming. Large windows frame views of the surrounding landscape and allow generous daylight to enter the space, reinforcing the company’s values of openness, transparency, and care. Functioning both as a transition and a destination, the lounge strengthens the spatial identity of the headquarters by bringing together work, conversation, and brand representation.

In its entirety, the Nuramed headquarters is conceived as a workspace that extends beyond pure function. The project celebrates the values that define the company, including clarity, care, and a global outlook. The architecture supports these ideals by creating spaces that are calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully connected to their surroundings. Rooted in the agricultural landscape of Kadi yet resonating with international aspiration, the office stands as a quiet and confident expression of a company dedicated to healing, innovation, and human well being.
