Foodora Offices – Budapest
GOOD Studio’s Foodora offices in Budapest transform an existing space into a vibrant, sustainable workplace that blends bold colors with functional zones, fostering collaboration and reflecting the brand’s dynamic culture.
The new Foodora office offers a fresh take on bold colors, resulting in a vibrant and welcoming workspace, designed by GOOD Studio.
Foodora is part of the global food delivery company Delivery Hero. The new Foodora office in Budapest transforms an existing workspace into a dynamic environment that reflects the company’s culture and operational rhythm. Rather than starting from scratch, the project embraces an adaptive reuse strategy, reshaping the interior to meet contemporary workplace needs while maintaining the building’s original structure. This approach not only preserves resources but also reinforces a sustainable design mindset.
At the core of the concept is a philosophy that prioritizes the retention of existing architectural and mechanical systems. Exposed ceilings, visible ductwork, and building services create an honest and expressive interior language. By minimizing demolition and integrating existing elements into the new design, the project significantly reduces material waste and embodied carbon, aligning environmental responsibility with spatial innovation.
There were minimal changes to the layout, but it was possible to create distinct zones for focused work, collaboration, and social interaction, all seamlessly connected through intuitive circulation. Corridors act as both functional connectors and experiential elements, enhanced by linear lighting and bold ceiling treatments that guide movement through the office. Meeting rooms and enclosed spaces line these pathways, while more open areas encourage flexibility and interaction.
The design narrative draws inspiration from the identity of food delivery culture. References to riders’ equipment—such as straps, bags, and gear—are translated into interior details, finishes, and material choices. This conceptual layer adds a unique character to the workspace, connecting the physical environment with the brand’s everyday operations.
The heart of the office is a spacious social hub designed as a multifunctional gathering point. Featuring custom, modular furniture on castors, this area can be easily reconfigured to accommodate dining, informal meetings, or larger events.
The brand’s signature color plays a central role in shaping the atmosphere. Vibrant pink tones are applied strategically across ceilings, lighting elements, and details, creating a strong visual identity. These bold accents contrast with neutral surfaces and soft textures, achieving a balance between energy and comfort.
