HKS designed the Bank OZK offices in Dallas, Texas, as a dynamic workplace that merges heritage and innovation, fostering collaboration and a future-ready work culture through thoughtful architectural elements.
Bank OZK’s workplace at 23Springs represents a strategic investment in people, performance, and place—marking a defining moment in the bank’s expansion and dedication to the North Texas market. Anchored by the guiding concept Where the River Meets the Road, the workplace reflects the convergence of Bank OZK’s deep Arkansas roots and history, with its forward-looking growth strategy, aligning operational rigor with a more connected, engaging, and future-ready way of working.
The design language is expressed through the interplay of a metaphorical “river” and “road.” The “river” represents heritage, institutional knowledge, continuity, and trust—expressed through organic forms, material warmth, and spatial flow. The “road” signals growth, new markets, innovation, and evolving work styles, expressed through a multi-modal work ecosystem, flexible planning, and vertical connections that link people and ideas. Together, these elements create a seamless continuum between Bank OZK’s past, present, and future.
Long defined by meticulous, individual focus, Bank OZK sought a workplace that would preserve its disciplined culture while enabling collaboration, mentorship, and shared momentum. Every aspect of the workplace experience was carefully considered—from building selection and floor stacking to amenities, furnishings, and everyday touchpoints—transforming the office into a destination that supports engagement, growth, and long-term value. The result is a best in class, high-performing environment that sustains focus-driven work while intentionally fostering connection across the organization.
