Client Goals
A leading private equity firm sought a New York office that reflected the prestige of their Chicago headquarters while establishing a distinct identity of its own. The client wanted an impressive boardroom that framed the space’s sweeping city views and a design that would meaningfully showcase their exceptional art collection.
Our Approach
We developed a spatial sequence that emphasized both arrival and impact. Upon entry, visitors are immediately greeted by the reception and the boardroom—each positioned to highlight panoramic views of the city and set the tone of sophistication. Adjacent to reception, a striking bar area serves as both a social hub and the first introduction to the firm’s curated art collection. Each piece was integrated intentionally into the architecture, ensuring the art and the space complement one another.
The Result
The completed office balances refinement and warmth, echoing the firm’s Chicago roots while defining a unique New York presence. The design celebrates art, hospitality, and exceptional views—creating an environment that embodies the client’s stature and vision.
