LinkedIn Offices – San Francisco
Revel Architecture & Design’s LinkedIn Offices in San Francisco create a vibrant retreat that blends community and collaboration through warm materials and fluid forms, embodying the city’s surf culture amidst.
This floor beats at the center of LinkedIn’s vertical campus in San Francisco, offering a counterpoint to the intensity of the work above it. The plan pulls people together at the threshold with a barista bar and communal lounge, then radiates outward into flexible meeting zones and event spaces. The design layers casual social energy into the professional rhythm of the campus, embodying LinkedIn’s drive to create community.
The architectural language draws from Outer Sunset, where the city dissolves into surf culture, and the pace of life softens. The design translates that balance into warm materials, fluid forms, and organic textures that counter the precision of the high-rise.
Each destination along the floor carries its own subtle nod to the neighborhood beyond the skyline, like familiar landmarks woven into a new map. The culmination offers LinkedIn employees an experience and space that feels rooted in San Francisco yet elevated above it, a quiet coastal current running through the heart of an urban campus.
Meeting spaces and lounges are interlaced and dissolve boundaries between focus and socialization, transforming a workplace amenity into the cultural core of the campus. Alive with movement. Anchored by a sense of place.
Because the entire floor was converted to amenity use, the team navigated complex life safety requirements, including smoke control and egress. Revel worked closely with engineers and city officials to develop a horizontal exit strategy, coordinating across multiple disciplines to keep the project on track and fully permitted within the scheduled timeline.
