Bolder Development’s Bou Offices in Helsinki exemplifies an energetic design that harmoniously blends vibrant colors and industrial features to foster collaboration and creativity while reflecting the company’s unique identity.
Bou’s new Helsinki office is a bold reflection of the company itself – creative, optimistic and a little unexpected.
Designed in close collaboration with the Bou team, the project began with a workplace strategy phase to understand how the company works, collaborates and grows. The result is a workplace that supports focused work, teamwork and everyday encounters while providing a strong physical expression of the brand.
The visual concept is built around a striking contrast. A muted red-orange tone flows across walls, beams and flooring, creating a vibrant backdrop for soft powder-blue furnishings, pale timber surfaces and warm neutral tones. Exposed services and industrial loft features add a raw edge, while carefully selected materials and details keep the overall atmosphere welcoming and approachable.
The design demonstrates how a highly distinctive workplace can be achieved through thoughtful use of colour, surfaces and furniture rather than extensive structural alterations. Existing architectural elements were largely preserved, supporting both project efficiency and sustainability goals.
The completed workplace feels energetic, creative and unmistakably Bou – a space designed to bring people together, inspire new ideas and make everyday work more enjoyable.
