Victoria Seguros Offices – Lisbon
DONE Design to Build revitalized the Victoria Seguros Offices in Lisbon through a thoughtful refurbishment that harmonizes contemporary design with the building’s original architecture, utilizing natural materials and sustainable practices.
Located on Rua Camilo Castelo Branco, on the axis between Marquês de Pombal and Avenida da Liberdade, CCB46 occupies one of Lisbon’s most demanding business districts. The intervention encompassed the full refurbishment of the façade, common areas, and interior office spaces, restoring contemporary relevance to a building originally awarded the Valmor Prize in 1985, without compromising its architectural identity.
DONE’s proposal started from a clear premise: not to renovate, but to reinterpret. The contemporary language introduced engages in dialogue with the existing structure, through a palette of neutral tones and natural materials that amplify natural light and establish a continuous reading between interior and exterior. The result is an environment that balances sophistication and comfort, designed for new ways of working and occupying space.
The functional reorganization introduced the logic of an integrated ecosystem: collaborative work zones, meeting rooms, a renovated auditorium, dining areas, and outdoor spaces for breaks, informal encounters, and corporate events come together fluidly, favoring flexibility, interaction, and user wellbeing. The commitment to sustainability, developed together with Átomo Capital Partners, was recognized through LEED Gold certification, awarded for the set of energy efficiency solutions implemented.
