Almedia Headquarters – Berlin

STUDIO VALE designed the Almedia Headquarters in Berlin as a dynamic office environment that fosters communication and adaptability, utilizing a circular procurement approach to seamlessly blend new and pre-owned furnishings while supporting the company’s growth and commitment to sustainability.

Firm
  • Client Almedia,
  • size 38,750 sqft
  • Year 2026
  • Location Berlin, Germany,
  • Industry Advertising / Marketing,
  • Fast growth, office-first
Almedia’s ambitious People & Culture team approached STUDIO VALE to create a workplace for its fast-growing, office-first team. The strategy was built around staying ahead of the curve, using the office as a place for communication, flexibility and collaboration to support the company’s rapid growth.

Circular procurement: 55 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided
Through STUDIO VALE’s network, the project made the most of Berlin’s shrinking tech bubble and the wave of company downsizing, sourcing pre-owned furniture from businesses reducing their footprint or leaving the city. As a bootstrapped, non-investor-driven company, Almedia naturally embraced a conscious and responsible use of resources. This mindset aligned perfectly with STUDIO VALE’s circular procurement approach. Re-use items were incorporated early in the concept and design phases, blending new and pre-owned furniture seamlessly from the start.

    Growth-ready
STUDIO VALE envisioned a flexible and adaptable layout based primarily on modular, movable and plug-and-play elements rather than fixed built-ins. This flexibility supports different work typologies while allowing the office to gradually expand into additional space within the premises over the coming years.

Making the most of every corner
Dead ends and awkward corridors are often a by-product of adaptive reuse in open-plan offices. Sometimes they are the perfect opportunity for a quiet getaway. It is not always about collaboration, especially in a 3,600 sqm open-plan office. Pause. Think. Focus. Recharge. Then get back into the flow.

Fluid brand identity in a rigid architectural aesthetic
Reduced to their essence after COVID, offices are becoming intentional expressions of brand identity, culture and values. Almedia’s organic approach to data analytics inspired STUDIO VALE to create a contrast with the building’s rigid architectural envelope.

    Omnipresent AV integration
In collaboration with Almedia’s internal IT team, STUDIO VALE planned and coordinated the multimedia experience throughout the workplace, integrating live tickers, dashboard screens and digital touchpoints.
