BDO Offices – Chicago
Gensler’s design for BDO Offices in Chicago reimagines the workplace within The Bell at 225 W. Randolph, creating a sophisticated 25,000-square-foot environment that embodies the firm’s culture and fosters collaboration, all while reflecting the vibrant spirit of the city’s iconic Riverwalk.
BDO’s move to The Bell at 225 W. Randolph provided an opportunity to redefine its Chicago workplace, creating a destination that reflects the firm’s culture and elevates the client experience. Located within one of downtown Chicago’s most dynamic office environments, the new 25,000-square-foot workplace supports collaboration and flexibility, while expressing the sophistication and warmth of the BDO brand.
Drawing inspiration from Chicago’s iconic Riverwalk, the design concept, “Bridging a Thriving City,” celebrates the relationships and exchange of ideas that drive both the city and BDO forward. As the bridges connect the Riverwalk’s neighborhoods, the workplace unites teams and different perspectives through a variety of collaborative destinations and focused work environments. The result is a cohesive workplace experience that encourages interaction while supporting individual productivity.
The office embodies BDO’s brand through an approachable yet refined design language that balances professionalism and authenticity. Employees and clients feel welcomed through the use of warm materials, thoughtful detailing, and sophisticated finishes. Throughout the space, artwork from local Chicago artists brings the design concept to life by celebrating the city’s creative culture and establishing the workplace’s unique local identity.
Rooted in the spirit of Chicago’s Riverwalk, the office environment fosters BDO’s culture and supports both employees and clients where meaningful relationships can thrive.
