Tor Marine Offices – Istanbul
Udesign Architecture designed offices for Tor Marine in Istanbul, featuring a transformative ‘Fluidity’ concept that enhances workspace functionality and well-being through a fluid staircase, natural light optimization, and an emphasis on sustainability with green spaces and holistic wellness initiatives.
Udesign Architecture designed a 2,000 m2 office space in Kocaeli for Tor Marine, a company operating in the marine and yacht sector in Turkey and around the world.
Leveraging our global expertise in design and implementation, we offered the brand a workspace that balances functionality and well-being. Our new design concept, ‘Fluidity’, combines the company’s goals and expectations to create a transformative workplace that supports people, culture and future growth.
A fluid staircase creates a fluid movement from the entrance area to the area where workspaces, meeting rooms and the group are hosted via the boardroom.
Soft transitions, pastel tones and materials play an important role in this fluidity.
One of the main goals of the project was to prioritize spaciousness. This meant that the closed offices were significantly reduced from the window area to the center, preventing the blocking of natural light. As a result, an environment emerged where workstations benefit from maximum daylight, thanks to the fact that workstations are now positioned next to the windows.
Healthy living is a key focus of the workspaces, with holistic wellness and sustainability initiatives available on every floor.
Sustainability is at the heart of the design, and many natural materials and vegetation have been used to support this. Green spaces and natural light have been created to continue the idea of “flowing with nature.”
Our focus on people’s needs, combined with our sustainable design approach, has created an office environment that is not only an incredible place to work, but also fosters a sense of community and belonging. As a result, our main goal has been to create an office that provides our staff with all the facilities and support they need to succeed on both a professional and personal level.
