MP Evans Offices – Jakarta
Mula Design Studio designed the MP Evans office in Jakarta Selatan, focusing on everyday work rhythms with a blend of open workstations, communal dining spaces, and sheltered booths, where winding seating and sculptural ceilings echo the Indonesian rice terraces.
Mula Design Studio designed the MP Evans office in Jakarta around the everyday rhythms of work, combining open workstations, shared lounges, sheltered booths and communal dining spaces. Completed in 2026, the workplace draws on “terasering” an Indonesia’s rice terraces to establish a consistent language of curves and layers.
The concept translates “terasering”, into winding seating, patterned flooring and sculptural ceilings. In the shared lounge, suspended ribbons surround globe lights above deep green modular seating. Curved floor bands echo the arrangement, while low cabinets topped with greenery define its edges without closing it off from neighboring work areas.
Open desks and shared tables accommodate individual work and group discussion. Nearby, orange upholstered booths set within a deep green wall offer more sheltered places for informal meetings. Enclosed meeting rooms with local motives from each of their sites provide additional settings, including a boardroom where undulating ceiling fins carry the landscape reference into a formal space.
The pantry brings together communal tables, counter seating and colorful dining alcoves. Teal, yellow and terracotta distinguish the booths, while patterned backdrops and individual pendant lights give each a recognizable character. These varied settings extend the studio’s “Architecture of the Everyday” approach, giving ordinary activities—from a brief conversation to a shared meal—dedicated places within the office.
