Zurich Santander Offices – Buenos Aires
Intro Arquitectura designed offices for Zurich Santander in Buenos Aires, Argentina, creating a contemporary space that enhances flexibility and comfort while seamlessly integrating areas for focused work, collaboration, and social interaction.
Zurich Santander is an insurance company born from the alliance between Zurich and Santander. The 750 m² project was developed as part of the company’s relocation to a more contemporary space, designed to support modern work dynamics while enhancing flexibility, comfort, and employee experience.
The design caters to a variety of workplace needs by seamlessly combining spaces dedicated to deep focus, collaboration, informal exchanges, and social gatherings. The layout prioritizes flexibility and a clear spatial organization, allowing the different areas to adapt to both daily activities and larger corporate events.
One of the main design strategies was incorporating diagonal geometries into an otherwise orthogonal floor plan. These angular lines organize the spatial distribution, facilitate intuitive navigation, and add dynamism to the overall experience. Within the open-plan areas, they help structure workstations while defining clear circulation paths.
The office is organized around a central core that houses the reception and main meeting rooms designated primarily for client interactions. Branching out from this central nucleus, different functional zones are distributed based on their specific privacy requirements and use.
The executive area features meeting rooms, phone booths, a manager’s office, and a boardroom, offering dedicated environments for focused work and high-privacy discussions. At the opposite end, the social zone brings together informal meeting areas and a large multi-purpose room. Designed for high adaptability, this space functions as a cafeteria, a break area, or a venue for town halls and corporate events for both employees and clients.
Employee well-being was integrated into the core design strategy through tailored acoustic conditioning, maximized natural light, and biophilic elements. These resources contribute to a more comfortable, balanced environment tailored to the diverse tasks performed throughout the day.
The result is a workplace with a clear organizational structure and a wide variety of adaptable settings, integrating focus, collaboration, social interaction, and corporate events within a unified, flexible workplace.
