  • A New Beginning: Kyndryl’s Office Transformation
Separated from its parent company, IBM, Kyndryl faced a unique challenge: establishing a distinct identity. Their office design project in Bangalore was more than just aesthetics; it was a chance to define their brand and culture. The tight deadline of eight months, coupled with the need to integrate advanced technology, sustainable materials, and an inclusive environment, presented significant hurdles.

Space Matrix approached this project with a focus on innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability. The core idea was to create a workspace that not only reflected Kyndryl’s values but also fostered a sense of belonging and inspiration.

A Brand Story in Every Corner: The office design was carefully crafted to tell Kyndryl’s story. Every detail, from the materials to the layout, reflected the company’s commitment to progress, innovation, and inclusivity.

Balancing Function and Aesthetics: The design team prioritized both functionality and aesthetics. Open layouts encouraged teamwork, while private spaces provided opportunities for focused work. Natural light, plants, and sustainable materials created a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere.

Technology Integration: Advanced technology, including the Client Experience Center and techbar, video conferencing systems, and smart energy solutions, were seamlessly integrated into the design.

Sustainability First: The office incorporated sustainable materials, energy-efficient lighting, and air filtration systems, demonstrating Kyndryl’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Despite the challenges, the project was a resounding success. The new office design not only reflected Kyndryl’s brand identity but also created a positive and inspiring workplace. Employees felt connected, supported, and inspired, while clients were impressed by the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Key Features of the Office Design:
Ergonomic and Sustainable: The office invested in ergonomic furniture, custom-built fixtures, and high-quality office equipment to improve employee comfort and productivity while reducing long-term costs.

Technology-Driven: Cutting-edge technology, including the Client Experience Center and techbar, video conferencing systems, and smart energy solutions, enhanced efficiency and reduced operational expenses.

Brand-Centric: The design incorporated wall graphics, visual elements, and branding components to reinforce Kyndryl’s brand identity and create a positive workplace atmosphere.

Natural Elements: Indoor plants, full-height glazing, and unobstructed natural light created a connection to the environment and promoted well-being.

Flexible Workspaces: Meeting spaces, open areas, and communal workstations accommodated various work styles and encouraged collaboration.

Employee Well-being: The office provided amenities such as a cafeteria, mother’s room, gym, pantry areas, and comfortable seating to support employee health and well-being.

Kyndryl’s Bangalore office, designed by Space Matrix, is a testament to the power of thoughtful design. By creating a workspace that reflected their brand values and fostered a positive work environment, Kyndryl successfully established their identity and set themselves apart in the industry.
