Simmons + Simmons Offices – Frankfurt
Merz Innen.Architektur designed a forward-looking law firm in Frankfurt’s new FOUR district, integrating the architectural concept into the interior design and reflecting the needs of the users.
Merging interior design and architecture
UNStudio’s architecture is characterised above all by the fact that it revitalises the district and connects the surrounding neighbourhoods. The architecture of the complex is marked by kinks, corners, shifts and curves, which are echoed in the interior design of the new office. This creates dynamic, flowing spaces and exciting visual connections between the different zones. In addition to the design language, the colour scheme of the aqua tower is reflected in the green and blue tones of the interior.Balancing focus areas and collaborative spaces
Through surveys and interactive workshops with a selected group of employees, we developed a bespoke workplace strategy, zoning plan and design concept for the next generation law firm. Experience from the previous office had shown that places for concentration and confidentiality were essential for day-to-day work, but places for dialogue were the reason people came to the office.Therefore, in addition to bookable individual offices, open work areas were created: the open spaces in the corners of the building and the student open spaces in the corridor zones. There are also multi-purpose and collaborative spaces such as the marketplace, coffee points and meeting rooms. The reception and client area with meeting rooms are separate to ensure discretion and confidentiality. Depending on the time of day, you can also enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink at the bar in the Clients and Friends Lounge.
All in all, the result is a high-quality, sophisticated look, with cool colour accents and spaces tailored to individual users. At the same time, the design reflects the company’s identity and values.
