Lemay’s design for BDO’s new Montreal office creates a workspace centered on collaboration and productivity, integrating the company’s brand identity with biophilic elements and wellness amenities that prioritize employee well-being.
BDO’s newly completed Montreal office represents a thoughtful approach to workplace design that places employee experience at the forefront. Located within a major downtown building, this workspace demonstrates how contemporary office environments can successfully balance professional requirements with human-centered design principles.
The office layout maximizes natural light throughout the space while offering spatial flexibility that adapts to diverse operational needs. Private workspaces designed for focused concentration are complemented by collaborative zones that encourage teamwork and innovation. Coffee corners provide informal gathering spaces, while conference rooms accommodate structured meetings and client interactions. Dedicated areas for training and larger gatherings complete the functional program.
Employee wellness takes center stage with specialized amenities including a dedicated yoga and massage room, providing team members with opportunities for relaxation and stress relief.
The integration of BDO’s corporate colours—blue, grey, and red—creates visual continuity across wall treatments and furniture selections, establishing a cohesive brand identity. A green wall and carefully selected natural materials including wood finishes embody biophilic design principles, contributing to stress reduction and enhanced creativity while maintaining the sophisticated aesthetic appropriate for a leading financial services firm.
