Made-In Cookware Offices – Austin
Abel Design Group transformed a historic warehouse in Austin into the Made-In Cookware offices, a versatile space merging a test kitchen, film studio, and collaborative office that embodies innovation and brand storytelling.
Abel Design Group transformed a converted warehouse into a combined test kitchen, film studio, and collaborative office designed to showcase cutting-edge cookware and support hands-on product development. The space serves multiple purposes: a hub for experimentation, a backdrop for film and photography, and a venue for guest chef appearances that bring the brand’s story to life.
The design incorporates dedicated exhibition areas to highlight products as focal points while maintaining a balance between functionality and aesthetics. Warm, natural materials, textured finishes, and an upper-level loft space add dimension and comfort, reinforcing the brand’s approachable yet innovative identity.
Creating a space with this level of flexibility came with distinct challenges. The team modified the existing loft to serve as a functional employee workspace, ensuring comfort and productivity within the converted warehouse environment. The integration of commercial-grade equipment into a kitchen that also needed to perform as a visually stunning, film-ready set required thoughtful coordination of technical requirements with design intent. By carefully blending performance with aesthetics, the result is a professional-grade kitchen that feels both authentic and cinematic.
The finished project reflects the company’s forward-thinking approach, offering a space that celebrates innovation, supports collaboration, and elevates the brand experience.
