  • SSDG Interiors has designed a new office space and showroom for Blackburn Young Office Solutions located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Blackburn Young Office Solutions (BYOS) wanted to commemorate their 10th year business anniversary by opening a new furniture showroom which doubled as a working office. Having recently added furniture manufacturer and industry icon, Knoll to their product roster the intent was to highlight some classic pieces while showcasing a variety of furniture systems in a complimentary manner. The space was ultimately designed to tell clients, guests and designers a story as they walk through the space and around the central core. Individuals are able to visually and physically experience the various elements of a typical work environment and how they co-relate with each other and to the space overall.

This neutral showroom, with bold punches of red throughout, provides a solid background for manufacturers to proudly display their products and highlight their features which, in return, entice the end users to incorporate them within their space. And for BYOS, it provides the ideal foundation for business growth.

The final result has been an overwhelming success! With the positive feedback from our customer base, along with the renewed motivation of our own team, our new downtown showroom has provided us a platform for our business to grow in ways previously not possible. We sincerely thank Susan, Kenna, Kim and the rest of the SSDG team for their support, hard work, and dedication to the success of our project!” – Michael Blackburn, Owner
