FourPoint Energy Headquarters – Denver
RNL has designed the new headquarters offices of private energy exploration and production company FourPoint Energy located in Denver, Colorado.
In extremely close collaboration with the client, the design team strove for a clean and polished, yet raw and industrial aesthetic. Ceiling heights were elevated wherever possible, creating visual interest and a downtown ‘loft’ feel in a newly constructed building. Wood, stone, steel, and glass are the primary finishes used throughout the space in an effort to subtly connect staff with their remote field offices.
Integration of technology was an important aspect of this project, as the client wanted to create a ‘wow factor’ with digital technology. A 35 screen, 3-sided wall engulfs the reception waiting area and acts as a branding beacon that can be seen from traffic and pedestrians below after dark. A nine screen wall and various gaming tables were incorporated into the Community Room for staff enjoyment, reinforcing their ‘work hard, play hard’ culture.
Transparency and approachability are cornerstones to the culture of FourPoint. All glass office fronts bring natural light to the interior workstation areas and support their philosophy of openness. A connecting stair was designed at the perimeter, not only to physically connect the two floors, but to reinforce wellness, activity, and accessibility to the executive team that resides near the top of the stairs.
