Hemisphere Media Group Offices – Coral Gables
Stantec designed the offices of Hispanic cable network Hemisphere Media Group, located in Coral Gables, Florida.
Hemisphere Media Group’s new 9,000 square foot space in the heart of the suburban city boasts a Wynwood-esque vibe with exposed ceilings, polished concrete floors, bright colors and warehouse lighting.
“Hemisphere is a creative company so we brought in the artsy and edginess feel of Wynwood to their new Class A office space in Coral Gables,” said interior designer Eric Holland, principal at Stantec’s Miami office. “Playful and colorful artwork with Spanish and English sayings, pops of bright blue colors and industrial elements can be seen in the space.
The company is passionate about their image and brand. Stantec incorporated their corporate color of medium blue along with different shades of blue to reinforce their brand throughout the space.
The office kitchen features blue pendant lighting above a high-top communal table, gray cabinetry, bright blue seating, subway tile backsplash in a lighter shade of blue and blue and white stripe floors. The lobby area boasts deep blue sofas, marble-top tables, and a large blue, gray and white rug.
The executive offices feature full glass storefront style to let the daylight flow to the open work areas. Workstations have low panel furniture by Teknion to encourage employee communication and collaboration.
In order to provide the most efficient design and make the best use of the furniture and space, Stantec provided Hemisphere with workplace test fit plans – floor plans used to confirm the program requirements can be met within the space.
“Our test fit plans really helped Hemisphere increase headcount and save cost on rental square feet,” added Holland. “In the end, we want to make sure our clients are happy with their new space, but we also want them to find it functional and custom for their needs.”
