onepointzero and Whitewall Interiors have collaborated to design the offices of a professional services company, located in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Onepointzero teamed up with long-time collaborator Kirstin French (Whitewall Interiors) to design the office spaces of two separate companies on the same floor of a building in Illovo, Johannesburg – one, a property development company and the other a corporate, legal and advisory firm.

Tasked with designing the new office spaces on the same floor but with separate entrances, the design duo were able to share some of the design features and finishes, while retaining a sense of unique identity for each space. “Being able to use the same contractors and suppliers was a massive help in terms of completing the project and keeping to our budget, it was a seamless integration form site to site” says JP Beukes.

Generous proportions and minimal fuss amplify the spacious interiors, while large curtain walls are kept clear, allowing maximum views over the Johannesburg skyline. Real woods, carpets, wide Oak floor planks and full height glazing sections add to the material warmth. Custom design furniture features throughout the offices with attention to detail and material being of critical concern. “We sought to bring a feeling of residential quality to the finishes, with tried and trusted furniture pieces adding to the sense of occasion and quality of feeling” adds Kirstin.
