CohnReznick Offices – New York City
TPG Architecture designed the offices of professional services firm CohnReznick, located in New York City, New York.
CohnReznick, formed in 2012 with the merger J.H. Cohn and the Reznick Group, has grown into the nation’s tenth-largest accounting, tax, and advisory firm. The company’s New York operations were housed in an outdated, undersized, and rigid space that did not suit their business, and they hired TPG as the architect for their relocation to 1301 Avenue of the Americas.
The client first engaged TPG’s Strategy & Innovation Studio to conduct an online survey to gauge their staff’s appetite for change. With responses that described their current space as “a dump” and “not client ready,” it became clear to the firm’s leadership that their new space needed to be transformative — one that encouraged employee engagement and reinforced CohnReznick’s tech-forward approach to client service.
The result is a responsive office that adapts to the way CohnReznick’s employees actually work. TPG designed a community-focused environment that clusters associated teams together in “neighborhoods.” The space is open and transparent, opting for glass-fronted offices and a variety of collaborative seat types, many which are situated alongside writeable glass walls and interactive touch screens. The office also includes the company’s first “Innovation Lab,” featuring a 16’ interactive digital display used for client demonstrations and team meetings.
